Babu Thummalapenta: Denver Area franchisee

Babu Thummalapenta, Aurora, Colo., owner and proprietor of Stone City LLC, has recently been named as a Kitchen Refresh franchisee for the Aurora Territory in the Denver area. Officially, the Kitchen Refresh Aurora Territory covers Aurora, Bennett, Byers, Cottonwood, Dove Valley, Elizabeth, Foxfield, Franktown, Parker, Ponderosa East, Stonegate, Strasburg, and Watkins, but, as a current lone franchisee in the five-territory Denver area, services will be provided throughout all of greater metro Denver by Babu and his team. Bubu's Stone City LLC staff will all assist in offering the Refresh services in some capacity, but design consultations will be spearheaded by his employee Sanjana Nayak.

Kitchen Refresh utilizes a room's existing kitchen, bath or other cabinets to enable homeowners, landlords, and businesses to have outdated, worn or homely kitchen, bath, bar or other cabinets updated with a new color, new doors, new drawer fronts, new concealed, soft-close hinges, new drawer and door pull hardware and some cabinet additions, modifications or other alterations if desired. Kitchen Refresh offers a beautiful, high quality result with kitchen transformations typically completed in just 1-5 days and for up to 75 percent less than a custom or semi-custom cabinet order.

Babu, residing in the Denver area for the past 21 years, has been involved in the granite industry since childhood, having worked in a family quarrying business since 1989, and later founding Stone City LLC in 2002, serving the remodeling industry by offering granite, marble and quartz countertops. The Kitchen Refresh services will be a co-equal added service option to the Stone City LLC countertop services already provided, in addition to cabinet design services they've offered since 2008.

Stone City LLC has extensive experience in countertop and cabinet projects with budget ranges of $5,000 to $100,000.

“I like designing practical and beautiful kitchens, bathrooms and bars for customers with a range of needs, budgets and requirements,” Babu said. “I also specialize in working with fix-and-flip clients.”

Babu has a Bachelor of Technology degree in mechanical engineering from Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal, Telangana, India.

Babu and his company are active members of the community, currently serving as president of the Shri Shirdi Saibaba Temple of Rockies - Centennial Colorado, a board member of the Indo American Eye Care Organization, a former board member and advisor of the Colorado Fine Arts Association, an active donor to area homeless shelters, a supporter of schools with special need students, and a food donor to the Ronald McDonald House for patients and their family members.
